Life recently is...

Hello!

I actually do not know how to start this blog since we are talking about my life. Haha! But here we are. So, what's new? I am now thirty (30) years old, still learning about life, and by God's grace, healthy and happily married.

In My 30's

I am now 30 years old, but I still feel young inside. I apologize for the people I called "old" in their thirties. Hehe. But seriously, life humbles you when you get older. All that matters are the people you love and the simple things in life that makes you survive.
Surviving as an adult in this crazy world is indeed challenging. I think, the best thing that I learned from life, in my 30 years of existing, are simply "living in the present" and "control what you can".

Life Lessons

Living in the Present

Living in the digital age made our life easier. It's easy to connect to a lot of people nowadays. Getting life update from different people using social media is easy. We get to see the improvements of others in their life. Social media made communication easier as well. It's convenient, yes, however, this gives "pressure" to some people. To the point that they are focusing too much on the future that they forget their "present".

I think, present is much more important than the future. Because without the present, there is not future. What you are doing now, reflects your future.

Control What You Can

In life, there will always be struggles. Sometimes, these struggles are caused by the people around you. It can be your co-worker, your lover, or even your family. We cannot control our problems in life, however, we can control our emotion or how we manage or react to it.

Married Life

I am happy to say that I married a good and generous man. My heart is full and in a happy place. I thank my husband for giving me all the best that he can. Above all, I thank God for giving me the man that not only my heart desires, but I need. We know that marriage life is not an easy journey, but we also know that we have each other's back and that we have God Who created a path for us to meet when we were just Grade 3 pupils and the same God Who reunited us after the Super Typhoon Yolanda here in Tacloban.

We were together for nine (9) years before tying the knot, and I believe that we are still learning new about each other every day. Our life is not perfect. There are times when we disagree with each other, however, what I appreciate about us when certain times like "disagreements" arise is that we know when to be silent. It's not that we do silent treatment. We just knew that being silent is better that saying hurtful words that will linger for many years on the back of our minds. The flight sometimes is better than fighting. I think, this is one of the secrets of our strong relationship, aside from love and respect, of course.

My Stress Reliever

If you know me personally, or if you are my friend on Facebook, you know that I love cats. Above here is the picture of our kitties named Yuno and Peachy. Yes, they are our fur babies. My husband and I raised them together. They are our rescue cats as well.

We got Yuno last year, month of September. He is a spoiled and very energetic cat when we got him. What I like about Yuno is that he seems like person in his past life. You instruct him what to do and he'll do it, but not everything that you say of course. He is also patient when you feed them unlike the orange one which is Peachy.

Peachy on the other hand is a female cat. My husband rescued her in March during a rainy day. He immediately gave her a warm bath. We thought that Peachy will not make it because at first, we do force feed her. Eventually, she survived. And according to the Vet, she is a strong cat while being spayed.

That's it.

Thank you for reading my first journal blog. Hope to see you around!
